Norris Lake is a spectacular Tennessee attraction for every kind of recreational water activity, such as swimming, skiing, wake boarding, fishing or boating. This is why Norris Lake is rated the cleanest lake in the southeast and one of the top five cleanest in the United States. With over 809 miles of shoreline, including another 50 miles of island shoreline, Norris Lake is created by the merging of the Clinch and Powell Rivers that flow directly out of the Cumberland Mountains.

The Lake’s warm water is the home to many species of fish. Native to this environment are the large and small mouth bass, walleye, crappie, rock fish, and many other well known species capable of reaching weights of 50 lbs or greater. The largest reservoir of the Tennessee River system, Norris Lake’s great size gives skiers, wake boarders, and other water sport enthusiasts a wide playground to enjoy.

While cruising the open waterways and nestled coves of Norris Lake you can dock your boat for a day of adventures on land; take in the majestic beauty of the Cumberland Mountain range; hike thousands of acres of our regional state parks including Indian Mountain State Park, Hemlock Bluff, and Chuck Swan Wildlife Management Area (accessible by boat only).
